Welcome to
Inspiring, celebrating, and connecting the Finnish-American Culture in Baltimore!

Baltimore Area Chapter

Finlandia Foundation Baltimore Area Chapter (FFBAC) aims to promote Finnish culture and heritage in the greater Baltimore area. We are a non-profit organization without political affiliations, open to all Finns and people with ties to Finland. Members enjoy a diverse and a delicious offering of events and cultural activities.

FFBAC organizes three or four cultural events a year, biggest event being the Little Christmas Party (Pikkujoulu), which ushers in the holiday season in early December with traditional Finnish Christmas foods, singing of carols and a visit by Joulupukki. It also organizes baking classes, beach parties, sauna evenings, and other get-togethers.

The members are informed of the events organized by the region's other Finnish and Scandinavian associations, including such monthly events as Finnish Church Service in Virginia and annual events, such as FinnSpark's Christmas Bazaar, Christmas Caroling (Kauneimmat joululaulut), Christmas Church at the Finnish Embassy, and Finlandia Foundation National Capital Chapter's Kalevala Dinner Dance in February.

Finlandia Foundation Baltimore Area Chapter publishes an online newsletter monthly. It also informs its members about news concerning Finland and Finnish events in the United States.
